Safe Sitter (Session offering: 1 full day or 2 evening)
with Miranda Wadsworth
Safe Sitter Course is designed to prepare students ages 11-13 to be safe when they're home alone, watching younger siblings, or babysitting.
THIS CLASS IS LOCATED IN NORWAY, MAINE - IN PERSON
The Instructor-led class is filled with fun games and role-playing exercises. Students even get to use manikins to practice rescue skills like choking rescue and CPR!
This nationally acclaimed program developed by Dr. Patricia Keener focuses on safety skills, child care skills, first aid & rescue skills, and life & business skills.
Students are asked to pack a lunch & drink. We will provide snacks and drinks.

Part One Class - Childbirth Boot Camp
with Miranda Wadsworth
****PLEASE NOTE: ONLY REGISTER ONE PARTICIPANT. You will have space to put who is attending with you on your registration form (do not register them separately).****
Join us for a 3-hour Interactive workshop learning about Childbirth.
- Building confidence in your ability to give birth.
- Review different techniquest to Relax, Breath and Distract yourself.
- Discuss Various Labor Positions.
- How to Manage Pain and Discomfort
- The stages of Labor
- What to expect during delivery.
- Sharing your concerns with the instructor - Reduce Anxiety.
The class will be taught by a Labor & Delivery Nurse/Lactation Consultant and the Perinatal Outreach Case Manager. Recommended for all first-time pregnant patients and their birth partners; this class is designed to provide you and your labor partner with the information, skills and resources to prepare you for the birth of your baby.

The class will be informal focusing on:
- How do you know you’re in labor and when to call the doctor
- Stages of Labor
- Vaginal & Surgical Deliveries
- Terminology
- Comfort Measures
- Equipment Review
- Medications and Interventions
- Watching Educational Videos
- And More!
Light refreshments will be provided during class. All participants are required to review self-screening questions for COVID-19.

Part Two Class - Bringing Home Baby 101
with Erin Olmstead & Miranda Wadsworth
Join us in a 3 hour - Interactive workshop in discussing the following topics:
- Feeding/Cues
- Breastfeeding & Bottle feeding
- How to prepare formula
- Swaddling & sleep sacks
- Diaper Changes
- Sleep Safety
- Infant CPR course to gain knowledge in how to perform CPR and choking rescue of an infant up to 1 year of age. This course will be provided by in-person instructor, video and hands-on practice.
- Car Seat Safety (bring your car seat to the class)
- When To Call The Doctor

Class is scheduled for an estimated 3 hour. Any caregiver is welcome to join, parents, siblings, grandparents, friends, etc.
